Now firmly established as the Oscars of the recruitment sector, the TIARA (TALiNT International Annual Recruitment Awards) 2020 campaign has launched with a focus on ‘transformation’.
“This year, the TIARAs celebrate the success of top recruiters transforming their businesses – and the wider perception of the industry – with the innovative use of training and technology to deliver the best client and candidate service,” said Alex Evans, Programme Director of TALiNT Partners. “Uniquely, the TIARAs offer a powerful endorsement to TALiNT International’s audience – which includes 21,000 heads of corporate HR, Resourcing & Talent Acquisition – to help employers understand what they should be looking for in recruitment partners.”
Access Group returns as headline partner and sponsor of the new Tech Transformation Award with Jason Martin, Head of Strategy taking a seat to judge the award.
“There’s a clear correlation between investment in technology and staff and candidate training and being able to achieve transformational results,” says Jason Martin. “The most successful recruitment businesses will be those who think holistically about their entire recruitment operations – from candidate attraction to cash collection and how they’re engaging and empowering staff and candidates through digital learning experiences. These firms will be the ones who’ll be able to achieve a step-change and genuine business transformation.”
“Having worked closely with businesses at Access to achieve this I look forward to seeing the entries for the new Tech Transformation Award and the innovative ways recruiters are using technology to enhance candidate experience and client service, and empower consultants to gain competitive advantage.”
The TIARAs are distinguished by the rigour of its judging process and the quality of its judging panel. Ian Nash, Chairman of Hudson, returns as Chair of Judges and brings 25 years of experience in recruitment including board roles at Robert Walters and Michael Page. “A built to last recruitment business is clear about the markets it’s focused on, understands its candidate base and the scarcities in the market whilst embracing the opportunities that technology can give,” said Ian.
A panel of 30 judges includes senior recruitment leaders, heads of corporate HR and Resourcing, and thought leaders in talent management. These include: Giles Daubeney, who has 35 years in recruitment and more than doubled the market cap of Robert Walters from £200m to £470m during his time as Deputy CEO; Claire Holness, Ericsson’s Global Head of Talent acquisition who has 20 years multi-industry experience built inhouse, through consulting and leading RPO solutions; Asif Sadiq, Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at The Telegraph, a multi-award winning expert in D&I; and Prof Emma Parry, Head of Changing World of Work at the Cranfield School of Management who leads its Executive MBA.
“TALiNT Partners is unique in that we cover the whole talent ecosystem, and the TIARA judges reflect that breadth of perspectives,” said TALiNT Partners MD Ken Brotherston. “This gives us insight into the changing needs of employers and what’s relevant for the best and most forward-thinking recruitment companies.”
The entry deadline for the 2020 TIARAs is 5th June. Finalists will be announced on 1st July and winners will be crowned on 21st October at a gala dinner for over 500 recruitment leaders at The Brewery in London.
The TIARA 2020 campaign is supported by Access Group as headline partner and award sponsors including: 6Cats, Clearwater International, Fore:Two Group, Grant Thornton, Mishcon de Reya, Parasol, Saffery Champness, and SourceBreaker.
