Wednesday 18th October 2023 – Winners of the 2023 TIARA UK & Ireland Recruitment Awards were revealed at a Gala Dinner for 500 guests at The Brewery in London today, attended by CEOs and senior executives from the best in the UK staffing sector.
“Resilience, innovation and inclusion have all been themes for the TIARAs in previous years – with all three demonstrated by this year’s winners,” said Alex Evans, Managing Director of TALiNT Partners. “The pace of change in recruitment has accelerated so much that only those recruiters with the right vision and capability to adapt have been able to capitalise on demand in the boom and sustain growth in the downturn.”
“With a combined turnover of £9.7 billion, and collectively employing 25,521 talented people, the 70 staffing firms shortlisted in 17 categories this year represent the UK’s recruitment partners and employers of choice,” he added.
The biggest winners on the night were InterEx Group (Growth and Best Recruitment Company to Work For with revenues of £50m to £100m), and SF Recruitment (Leader of the Year and Best Recruitment Company to Work For £20m to £50m), who both won double honours.
New entrants who triumphed this year included Caritas Recruitment (Candidate Experience), SR2 (Specialist), Extrastaff (Best Use of Technology), Forward Role Recruitment (Best Recruitment Company to Work For £5m to £20m) and Nexus Search (Scale Up Recruitment Company of the Year.)
Top individual honours went to Recruitment Leader of the Year Saira Demmer, CEO of SF Recruitment, for navigating the business through challenging times and enabling her team to maximise opportunities for growth with an inclusive culture.
Ged Mason, CEO of Morson Group, was also honoured for an impressive career within the industry, not only building a £billion+ turnover business in the UK and North America, but supporting local charities and advancing social mobility through recruitment.
Commenting on this year’s winners, Jason Martin, Head of Strategy, Recruitment, at Access Group – headline partner of the TIARA Recruitment Awards for the last 10 years – said. “We saw a lot of new challengers in the shortlist who won TIARAs last year, and it’s good to see more new names coming through. It’s always impressive when past winners and finalists show that they’re still going above and beyond, being innovative and setting a great example as well.
“It was inspirational to see the commitment to DEI, ESG and L&D from recruiters who want to be recognised as the best employers as well as the best partners.”
The 2023 TIARA Recruitment Awards campaign was supported by headline partner Access Recruitment, campaign partner Pixid and supporting award sponsors including: 6Cats International, Blackwood Capital, Fore:Two Group, Grant Thornton, Mercury, Mishcon de Reya, Parasol, Qdos, Saffery, Sonovate, SourceWhale, Twenty20 Capital, Vincere and Workwell.
